Do you (secretly) hate your self-care practices?

A bath tub filled with water, with a candle lit and a bag of epsom salts both sitting on the edge.

Do you secretly ~ hate ~ your self care practices? 🙈

(It’s ok if you do.. even if you struggle to admit it yourself (let alone anyone else)).

Do you wish sooooo much that the thing that works for maybe your friend, apparently everyone on IG, your gym bestie, also worked for you..? *But it actually leaves you feeling like crap? 💩🙃 Drained, annoyed, hungry, bored, etc.

For me it was HIIT style workouts or training weights 5 days per week. 🥲 I used to actually LOVE those styles of training, but they left me feeling drained, fatigued, gaining weight, and with zero mental capacity left to study or work. And I resented how they made me feel despite apparently making everyone around me feeling energised, lean, and motivated. 🤨😩

Eventually I became brave enough to let them go (and/or shift the way I was approaching my exercise), and I tell you - I couldn’t be better off for it. Physically, mentally, emotionally, everything has improved.

So if that’s also you in some capacity, that’s totally ok! You are your own person and not everything that works for others WILL work for you. 🫶🏼 But it doesn’t mean you’re doomed!

It just means you have this beautiful opportunity now to find the thing (or the different version of the thing that you are already doing) that WILL leave you feeling ✨ fantastic ✨ so you can stick to it with confidence.

If you’re unsure how to start figuring out how to change up your routine and what to introduce, you are welcome to book in a coaching call with me here where we can go over your current health status (physical, mental, emotional) and your current health routines, and dive into what may be going wrong, or what and how you could shift things in a way that works for YOUR unique makeup (and lifestyle).

For now though, leave a 🧡 in the comments below if this resonates. Send yourself some love and a big hug!

Mon xx
