Embracing all aspects of self 🧡
Regardless of, gender, level of education received, status within our social circle, job title (or lack-there-of), life story, sexual orientation, the colour of your skin/hair/eyes… We ALL experience day/periods/moments where:
✨ We are getting Sh*t done! We are hustling and ticking off those to-do lists with the energy of a go-getter. *This ties in with masculine energy;
✨We just feel down, unsure about ourselves and our place in the world, self-consciuos, ugly, ashamed, afraid, angry, isolated, empty, triggered by everything, unwilling to move and just wanting to hide;
✨ We embody more of the feminine within us: We feel creative, in flow, socially connected, sensual, ready and willing to receive, open, connected to nature, nurturing;
✨ We embody more of the masculine within us: We feel driven by a challenge, focused on the task at hand and/or a goal, ready and willing to be the giver and/or to take the lead, steady and grounded in and among the chaos around;
✨ We are chilling out, resting, recuperating, regenerating, re-aligning, processing, zoning out;
✨ We feel AMAZING! We feel physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy and fulfilled. We feel fit and strong, not bloated (😝), light, our clothes look great and fit fabulously well, things just seem to be lining up for us perfectly.
Tying in with the concept of archetypes, this list above details just a snippet of what it means to be human. We ALL have the capacity to feel the full range of human emotion, and to experience and embody every archetype.
If you have ever felt triggered by the idea of embodying a particular emotion, ashamed or put-down for expressing your sexuality, embarrassed for wearing certain clothes or for showing up a particular way, or even felt triggered when someone ELSE does/says/has a particular look that you wouldn’t feel comfortable expressing yourself, then lean into why. This is your shadow coming up: any area of yourself that through shame, pain and programming, you have learnt is not worthy, lovable, enough.
It is through owning and reclaiming those shadow aspects of self that we can free ourselves of this subconscious conditioning, so we can live our purpose and our lives in a way that feels authentic and aligned.
